This week in the NFL

The most talked about subject in the NFL is concussions. This past Sunday there were some big hits that lead to players leaving the game with a concussion. The NFL is now trying to penalize players who deliver a helmet to helmet hit in a game. People are saying, is the NFL dealing with this thing the right way. I think they are taking the fun out of the game. Football has been all about big hit and hitting hard and now they are trying to tell players not to hit the opponent as hard. I want to know what you think about this whole situation and is the NFL doing the right thing. James Harrison got fined $75,000 for his concussion-causing hit on Cleveland Browns wide receiver Mohamed Massaquoi.  After he got fined Tuesday he went on Fox Sports Radio's "Into The Night with Tony Bruno” and told him that he was going to talk to his coach and see if he can play by the NFL’s rules and still be effected and if not then he said he might give up playing football. New England Patriots safety Brandon Meriweather and Atlanta Falcons cornerback Dunta Robinson each were fined $50,000 by the league.

Week 4 Recap and News

This week there where a lot of upsets and record breaking performances. To start off, the St. Louis Rams went into their game haven't beating the Seahawks since 2001. They just came off their first win of the season and most people thought that they weren't going to win two in a row. They proved them wrong. Sam Bradford had a good game. He threw 23-41 for 289 yards and 2 touchdowns. But, It was their defence that won them their game. They held Seattle to 315 yards and a field goal. So, The Rams are 2-2, tie for the division lead and looking good. The Colts are having a rough start to the season. This week the played the Jaguars, and people thought that they would walk all over them. Jacksonville had other plans. Payton Manning had a big game he was 33-46 for 352 yards and two touchdowns but, the defence didn't stop Jacksonville when they needed to. This game was so close that it was decided by a field goal, a 59 yard field goal. That broke the record for longest game winning field goal. Today New England and Minnesota made a deal which brought Randy Moss back to Minnesota. Micheal Vick will not play Sunday after injuring his ribs last Sunday's game. Kevin Kolb will start at the 49ners. Also, Clinton Portis is sideline for 4-6 weeks with a groin injury.

Week 4 of the NFL

Week 3 of the NFL had offenive shotouts and deffisive stops. It also had its fair share of close games. This week I think there wont be any teams still unbeaten, but the Cheifs because they have a bye week. For the grades for all 32 teams visit http://www.bleacherreport.com/ to see what your favorite team got. This week the deffending champs, Saints, are at home agaist the Caralina Panthers. Last week the Saints lost a big one in overtime. They could of won but their kicker missed a field goal in overtime. Now they have the stugging Panthers at home, and I think they will bounce back and pick up another win. Indianapolis Colts had no trobel get their second win last week, and I don't think they will have any troble this week either. They have Jacksonville Jaguars and they are struggling this year. Their running game is not good. Maurice Jones-Drew only had 88 rushing yards last week. So, the Colts win big agaist the Jaguars. Now for my last pick for week 4, I will go to the Monday night game between New England Patriots and the Miami Dolphins. Dispite Chad Henne having a great game with 2 touchdowns and 26-44 for 363 yards they lost to the Jets. Now they have New England which won their game, I think that Miami is better than New Englad. So, Miami wins in a close game. If you follow sports then you know that Trent Edwards was released by the Bills, but today he was picked up by Jaguars. Stevan Jackson's injury on Sunday is not serious. He is listed day-to-day. Cardnals Breaston has knee surgery and could miss two games. George Blanda, who played longer than anyone in pro football history and racked up the most points in a career that spanned four decades, mostly with the Chicago Bears and Oakland Raiders, died Monday. He was 83.

American Football vs Futbol

According to my fellow author of "The Real Football" says that American football is not the real football. He thinks that soccer is football. But, the definition of the word, football, is that it is a game in which two opposing teams of 11 players each defend goals at opposite ends of a field having goal posts at each end, with points being scored chiefly by carrying the ball across the opponent's goal line and by place-kicking or drop-kicking the ball over the crossbar between the opponent's goal posts. Soccer on the other hand is just like football, but instead of hitting and using your hands they kick the ball and they can't use their hand except the goalkeeper. Most people around the word would call soccer, football, but to us Americans football is football and soccer is soccer. If you like soccer visit "The Real Football" to get the best information about soccer.

Football

My blog is about NFL football. I will be bloggin about what the big news is aroung the league. I will be also talking about what happend in the games every week. There will be predictions to the games and i will see how good I am at predicting games. I like discussing football with people and finding out what othe people think.  I think people should read my blog because i get my information from ESPN and I don't come up with false information. I also don't just talk about my favorite team, I will talk about every team. So, the NFL is in week 3 and there are alot of shocking outcomes thru 2 weeks. Dallas and Minnsota are both 0-2, no one would ever thought that would happen. Bret Farve has been playing like crap and so has Tony Romo. The supprisses are that the Tampa Bay Buccaneers are off to a 2-0 start. So this year is going to be a fun year because there are different teams that are good and the teams that are good are bad. I think there are going to be a lot of suprises in the NFL, like The Cheifs and the Buccaneers.
