This week in the NFL

The most talked about subject in the NFL is concussions. This past Sunday there were some big hits that lead to players leaving the game with a concussion. The NFL is now trying to penalize players who deliver a helmet to helmet hit in a game. People are saying, is the NFL dealing with this thing the right way. I think they are taking the fun out of the game. Football has been all about big hit and hitting hard and now they are trying to tell players not to hit the opponent as hard. I want to know what you think about this whole situation and is the NFL doing the right thing. James Harrison got fined $75,000 for his concussion-causing hit on Cleveland Browns wide receiver Mohamed Massaquoi.  After he got fined Tuesday he went on Fox Sports Radio's "Into The Night with Tony Bruno” and told him that he was going to talk to his coach and see if he can play by the NFL’s rules and still be effected and if not then he said he might give up playing football. New England Patriots safety Brandon Meriweather and Atlanta Falcons cornerback Dunta Robinson each were fined $50,000 by the league.

Week 4 Recap and News

This week there where a lot of upsets and record breaking performances. To start off, the St. Louis Rams went into their game haven't beating the Seahawks since 2001. They just came off their first win of the season and most people thought that they weren't going to win two in a row. They proved them wrong. Sam Bradford had a good game. He threw 23-41 for 289 yards and 2 touchdowns. But, It was their defence that won them their game. They held Seattle to 315 yards and a field goal. So, The Rams are 2-2, tie for the division lead and looking good. The Colts are having a rough start to the season. This week the played the Jaguars, and people thought that they would walk all over them. Jacksonville had other plans. Payton Manning had a big game he was 33-46 for 352 yards and two touchdowns but, the defence didn't stop Jacksonville when they needed to. This game was so close that it was decided by a field goal, a 59 yard field goal. That broke the record for longest game winning field goal. Today New England and Minnesota made a deal which brought Randy Moss back to Minnesota. Micheal Vick will not play Sunday after injuring his ribs last Sunday's game. Kevin Kolb will start at the 49ners. Also, Clinton Portis is sideline for 4-6 weeks with a groin injury.
